The feeling of failure in the ketogenic diet
How do you deal with failure or disappointment in the ketogenic diet?
Some people invest a lot of hope and effort in the ketogenic diet. For many, success and joy will come quickly. But, it is also important to focus on those who, despite all efforts, do not manage to balance their values or lose weight.
It can sometimes be difficult, especially since all the social media platforms are full of success stories and positive information. This information can be intense, making you feel like you just can’t seem to get there. You will wonder why it works for others, but not for you. Especially because you are constantly doubting yourself, while following all the tips.
The ketogenic diet has a high success rate, but there will undoubtedly be people who will not succeed. Why do you think it does not work?
The diet will work for everyone, but it is important to be patient. For some this will be 6 months, for others a year and for others maybe two years.
The keto diet is precise, strict and some adjustments can have major consequences. The problem with most people is that they try to rush into it, which will lead to disappointment.
Unfortunately, not everybody reacts the same, which is why it sometimes happens that the body starts to protest. For instance, you may feel that you have little energy left, you may not lose any weight and you may not feel better about yourself. It is important that you accept the transition period and enjoy every little positive change. Because in fact, you are already making such good steps when you stop eating sugar or when you are just focusing on your health.
Focus on what is going well, instead of focusing on what is not succeeding. If you succeed in focusing on the positive developments, the blockages will gradually disappear. After this you will notice that it will start to improve, because the body will adapt.
This can take a long time, but it is important to have faith in yourself. You can do this!
