Ghee is a clarified form of butter. Basically, it means that it is a butter that has been stripped of milk and water. Originally used widely in Indian cuisine, Ghee is now becoming increasingly popular. Go-Keto Ghee can be found in this shop because it fits very well in a keto diet and has some very interesting health benefits!

#1 – IT IS THICKER THAN BUTTER

Because Ghee is clarified and therefore free from milk residue and water, it is much more concentrated in terms of fat.

For 100g of butter, you have 81g of fats

For 100g of Ghee, you have 99.5g of fats

That is why Ghee is very interesting if you want to increase your fat content easily!

#2 – IT IS LACTOSE FREE

When converting butter into Ghee, all the lactose in the butter is removed. So it is a very interesting product for all lactose intolerant people.

#3 – IT IS CASEIN FREE

Dairy products, including butter, are often blamed for the lactose they contain. However, it is often forgotten that casein (the main protein in milk) is just as aggressive as lactose (the milk sugar), although it behaves differently. Casein is aggressive to the gut, increases inflammation, and even though butter contains very little casein, some people are sensitive enough to it that even butter can be problematic.

#4 – IT CONTAINS SHORT-CHAINED FATTY ACIDS

Ghee is one of the few foods that contain short-chain fatty acids. Most short-chain fatty acids are usually produced by our bodies as a result of the fatification of certain fibres. These fatty acids (especially butyrate) are very interesting for fat metabolism and for their anti-inflammatory effect.

#5 – IT IS EASY TO TAKE ALONG

Because Ghee is solid at room temperature, it is much easier to carry around than normal butter. In the ketogenic diet, you often need to take your fats with you, especially if you travel or are on the road for a long time. Ghee is therefore an excellent choice for a healthy diet. Ghee is a very good alternative because it remains solid at room temperature. You can take small portions of it with you in different containers, small jars, reusable bags or just large quantities!

#6 – IT CAN BE FLAVOURED

Ghee makes it easy to add flavour to fat intake, because it can be flavoured! Savory or sweet flavors, you can multiply the possibilities: garlic, turmeric, smoked salt, seaweed, but also vanilla, lemon, cinnamon tonka bean, you can let your creativity run wild! The only thing you have to do is to soak the hot Ghee for a few hours over the spice of your choice. Afterwards, you have to strain it and put it in the fridge for a while.

And as you prepare for your new cooking experiences, you can find it here!
