Meat and fish are two popular ingredients when it comes to the holidays. But, most of the time, people choose to serve meat. That is why we are introducing you to something different for once, namely a fish dish!

Serves: 4

Ingredients

  • 500g cod fillets
  • 600g sea salt
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1 lime
  • Turmeric, paprika, ginger, pepper
  • Olive oil / Go-Keto MCT Oil Shape

Preparation

Preheat the oven at 220°C. 

  1. Beat in the egg whites until they are foamy. 
  2. Add the sea salt, the spices and the lime juice. 
  3. Wrap each cod fillet in parchment paper. 
  4. Spread half of the mixture in an oven dish, place the wrapped cod fillets on top and cover with the rest of the mixture.  (Make sure it is well-covered, so the flavours will be absorbed by the fillets and it will be cooked perfectly.) 
  5. Place in the oven for 10 minutes.  
  6. Remove the oven dish from the oven and leave to cool for 5 minutes. 
  7. Crush the salt crust and spread a bit of olive oil / Go-Keto MCT Oil Shape on the fillets before serving.
